This movie was made by John G. Avildsen in 1984. After in 2010, this movie was remade by Harald Zwart. In this movie actors are very classy. Jaden Smith as Dre Parker, Jackie Chan as Mr Han.
Twelve-year-old Dre Parker and his mother Sherry move from Detroit to Beijing. One day Dre met a young girl. She is a violinist. They became friends, but the boy he called Cheng is disgusting to Parker because he is like this young girl Meiying. So Cheng uses kung fu to hit Parker. Then Mr. Han comes to Dre's aid, revealing himself as a kung fu master. However, after a few days the bullying didn't disappear. So Dre asks if Mr. Han could teach him kung fu because he wants to become strong. Mr. Han teaches Dre a lot of kung fu, after Dre beats many players. He becomes stronger than other people.

He learned China martial arts and Peking Opera when he was seven years old to seventeen years old. Then he became a extra actor. Unnamed era he acting on Bruce Lee's movie. He was an actor his stunt man. After many years ago, he aim to make movie that takes advantage of its his own character. In 1980, he little by little became a famous person.
This movie made in Forbidden Citｙ, Great Wall, Wudang Mountain. These location sites are very famous in China. Maybe almost all people of the world know these.
